Vice-President at Large

Sam started his union career in 1976 when he joined Local 8720 of the United Steel Workers. He moved up the ranks to become President of the local. In 1987 he was offered a staff position which he has held for 36 years. He has worked in the south, District 9, for 23 years before transferring to District 8 in 2009. Sam has been servicing all over the state and now his primary responsibility is the Roanoke area. Along with servicing, Sam also handles all of the education classes over the state for the USW.
